Coach Mike Agiannidis

Coach Agiannidis is beginning his 20th year as a varsity coach, and his first year at GOHS. During his previous 19 years of teaching/coaching he coached varsity girls soccer and looks forward to making the transition to the boys side. "When the opportunity arose to switch to the boys soccer, my wife and I decided it was a calling for me to help develop young men into contributing members of our community".

 

Coach "A". enjoys participating in triathlons and has completed seven140.6 mile Ironman races. Six of them being here in the Spring/Woodlands area. He currently lives in Sugar Land with his wife (also a teacher and varsity coach), his 5 year old daughter, and 2 dogs.


Soccer Coaching Career:​

  • Herald Coaster “Coach of the Year” 2007.

  • District “Coach of the Year” 2015, 2019

  • Region 3 TASCO “Coach of the Year” Finalist in 2009, 2011, 2014, 2015.

  • Overall coaching record of 262-52-45.

  • 6 district titles (5 undefeated) with teams being ranked 11th, 25th, 35th and 50th nationally by ESPN.

  • Teams have reached Regional Quarterfinals 8 out of 19 years, and Regional Semi-Final three times.

Coach Edgar Carmona 

Coach Carmona is starting his third year of teaching and coaching. A graduate of Sam Houston State University, Coach Carmona earned a Spanish degree with a minor in Secondary Education. 

​

His coaching experience includes working for the Houston Dynamo Dash Soccer Club for 4 years, while also being a member of the STYSA ODP soccer program for the past 4 years as well.

​

Coach Carmona is a Willis High School graduate where he played soccer all four years as well as a season for San Jacinto College. 

​

He has been married to his wife Gabriela for three and a half years and is looking forward to an awesome year! 

​

Coach Carmona will be teaching Spanish 2 this year along with assisting the Cross Country team.

Coach Jerron Myers

 Coach Myers is entering his 19th year of coaching and his 2nd season with Grand Oaks High School. Coach Myers previously came to GOHS from Cleveland High and has coached  football, basketball, and track at Sam Rayburn High and Milby High School. This is his second year of coaching soccer. During his first year his 9th grade team won the district title for that level.

 

He is a native of Indianapolis, Indiana, and graduated from Ball State University with a bachelor's degree in Sports Administration (2001) and graduated from Grand Canyon University with a Maters in Education (2007). Coach Myers and his spouse, Melissa, have one daughter Jillian (13).
